专业新闻与内容系统
Sina · Baidu App
Role: Senior News Editor · Head of Content Strategy & Operations
Focus: Professional journalism · editorial judgment · content systems at scale
The Question
Before building platforms and AI systems, my work began with a more fundamental challenge:
How do you ensure content quality, credibility, and editorial judgment at scale — without losing speed or relevance?
In high-stakes news and information platforms, content isn’t just engagement-driven.
It shapes public understanding, trust, and long-term user behavior.
The Work
Across Sina and later Baidu App, I worked at the intersection of professional news editing and large-scale content operations, focusing on how editorial standards translate into scalable systems.
At Sina, I worked as a senior news editor within a professional newsroom environment:
Edited and curated time-sensitive news and major events
Established content standards and editorial workflows for UGC and professional reporting
Analyzed audience behavior and trending signals to inform coverage priorities
At Baidu App, I led content strategy and information flow operations:
Built a Content Quality Standard System for large-scale recommendation feeds
Designed push notification and recall strategies based on user behavior analysis
Partnered closely with algorithm teams to align editorial judgment with distribution logic
Led and managed a 50+ person content operations team, balancing quality, speed, and scale
The System Thinking
What connected these experiences was a consistent systems mindset:
Editorial judgment as structure, not instinct
Quality as a system property, not manual effort
User trust as a long-term signal, not short-term metrics
I learned how professional content principles could be encoded into workflows, standards, and operational models — long before AI entered the picture.
The Outcome
Improved content quality and feed relevance at scale
Increased DAU and content recall through structured editorial operations
Created sustainable content governance models that supported algorithmic optimization
Why It Matters
This phase of my career laid the foundation for everything that followed:
Before building platforms, you must understand content.
Before scaling systems, you must understand judgment.
That understanding now directly informs how I think about:
Creator platforms
Governance and lifecycle systems
And ultimately, how AI should reason about information, meaning, and trust
